US 12,740,937 B2; Alicia Marie Santino Turnbull of Grosse Pointe Park, MI, was awarded a patent for an ointment or balm suitable for topical application or ingestion, produced via a defined potato-infusion method.

The process begins by soaking shredded potato in a baking soda and culinary-grade vinegar mixture to form a soaked potato, then drying it to remove residual moisture. The dried potato is placed into an infusing machine along with an oil mixture and actuated to produce an infused product, with the shredded potato remaining present in the final formulation.

Separately, beeswax is melted and combined with the infused product, then cooled below its melting temperature to set the ointment or balm.

The formulation specifies a beeswax-to-oil ratio of 0.5–2 fluid ounces beeswax to 12–13 fluid ounces of oil mixture, and a potato-to-oil ratio of 140–170 grams of shredded potato to 10–15 liquid ounces of oil mixture.
